We are much more than just a Restaurant & Brasserie. The location is unique, in the middle of the Zaanse Schans. The buildings are historic as well as the furnishings and decoration. In addition, we offer various halls, rooms and terraces, eight in total. But we are also unique in terms of facilities, which, partly in view of the location on the Zaanse Schans, located on the beautiful Zaan, offers an extra dimension.

At d’Swarte Walvis, there are several rooms with a unique history available for rent, including the orphanage/the conservatory, the vleethuis (the bar), the commander’s room (1st floor), and the Zaandijk Town Hall.
